Hello! I'm a queer POC student who's just wrapping up undergrad and trying to decide if she should even do grad school or not. My undergrad workshops were FULL of these same obnoxious microagressions and BS feedback. However, I did find one or two trusted friends to workshop with, as well as a professor I really clicked with (in the literature/African American studies department though). I'm really not sure if grad school/MFA is worth it. Would you recommend it? Are there ways to find places that might be less racist? One big thing that worries me is the school I'm doing undergrad at was touted as one of the most diverse. In reality, almost all my professors are white men who will proudly label themselves liberal in the same breath that they tell you not to include other languages in your stories.
